ARON PENNER

Aron A. Penner was born May 21, 1903 in Schoenhorst, Russia. In 1910 he moved w his parents to Woronesch, where he spent his f Canada in 1926 , he was forced to rema behind, which was an experience th brought him closer to God. In 1928 he was permitted to emigrate a rejoin his family . First they lived near S .Jean , Man. Poverty was severe, but throu hard work and faith in God they managed get their daily bread. In 1929 they boug ht farm near Roland, Man. When his father passed away in 1937, t responsibility fell on Aron's shoulders . H loved farming and God blessed his work. T family worshipped in the Harold churc enjoying many spiritual blessings. Aron became aware of his lost conditio accepted Christ as his Saviour and w baptized and received into the Mennon Brethren Church at Winkler on June 2 1934. Here he sought to serve the Lord , a did so with much joy . On October 4, 1958 he married Hele Derksen. When, because of ill health, t work on the farm became too difficult them they moved to Winkler in 1967. Mo complications set in, and Aron continued suffer quietly and patiently. On July 9 t Lord took him home. The Penners were privileged to share happy years of marriage. He reached the age of 71. He was predeceased by his father and two brothers both named Henry. Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Helen; his mother; and six brothers and sisters: J ohn and Agneta Friesen, Winnipeg, Mrs. Henry Penner, Arnaud, Henry and Margaret Loewen, Isaak and Helen Neufeld, Mr. and Mrs. J ake Penner, Morden, and Mr. and M rs . George Penner, Morden.
