The fun eral was held April I ,) in the Blaine Lake Gospel Chapel, which is under the Mennonite Brethren Mission of Saskatchewan. Mr. Vereshagin met the Lord just a few years ago and since then witnessed for him.

Excerpts from a poem written about and dedicated t.o Mr. Vereshagin by Sam Apesland of Weldon. Sask. tell a bit a bout his life:

. Your earthly joy consisted of your family and your friends, And all of God's creation who on loving care depends . You loved to hear the owl hoot on a frosty winter night, And watch the coyote play and howl when the moon was shining bright. You provided a ll the w'l1d life with a place in which to roa m - A safe and sound enclosure that they could call their home , They knew , at least, they had one friend they did not have to fear , To man and animals alike, their life is very dear.

. Now it seems your task is ended and the Lord has called you home To join with friends already there , and wait for more to corne, Your life you left in God's own hand to do as he tna ught wise, Your weary body, weak and tired, it longed for Paradise.

.... You leave behind your loving wife and darling daughter Con, Your two adoring sisters and devoted brother John. . We know you shall be better off but still our tears will flow Because you meant so much to us, we really loved you so. And then the thanks from all of us for what your life has meant, We know up to the throne of grace much prayer has been sent. We pray that God shall send us men that are strong and kind and true Who'll leave this world a better place- as has been done by you.
