MRS. JUSTINA THIESSEN

Mrs. Justina Thiessen (nee Bergen) was born March 11, 1893 in Pieschanow, Samara, Russia. In her youth she was saved and joined the Mennonite Brethren Church, remaining a devoted member until her death.

In 1918 she married Frank Thiessen. He was drafted and in a short time she was a widow. In 1925 she married Nickolai Thiessen, who predeceased her in 1959. In 1926 they came to Canada, moving to Coaldale, Alta. in 1936. She was a very loving and concerned mother and will be greatly missed by her family.

She passed away May 8. Mr. John J. Dueck officiated, and Rev. H. Kornelson and Rev. P. Retzlaff of the Conference Church spoke at the May 11 funeral in the Coaldale MB Church.

She leaves to mourn her children: Helen of Coaldale, Mary Janzen of Saskatoon, Martha Dick of Linden, Alta., Lydia Regier of Lethbridge, Catherine Reimer of Calgary, Nick of Debolt, Alta., Ben and Jake of Grand Prairie, Alta., Rudy of Grand Forks , B.C.: and two sisters, in Russia and in Ontario.
