AGATHA BOLDT

(Mrs.) Agatha Boldt, daughter of Johann and Elizabeth (nee Toews) Braun, was born in the village of Lichtenau in southern Russia on December 3, 1881. She grew up in a family of six sisters and two brothers, who have all predeceased her.

In 1899 she was baptized on confession of faith; in 1903 she married Johann Jacob Boldt. They made their home in the village of Alexanderkrone until they immigrated to Saskatchewan in 1926, where they lived until their retirement to Vineland, Onto in 1945.

In 1960 her husband passed on to be with the Lord. She was a real helpmate to her husband in his ministry as deacon, and was also deeply concerned for the physical and spiritual needs of her children.

In 1969 she made her home in Tabor Manor. She passed away February 22 at the age of 92. The funeral was held in the Scott St. Mennonite Brethren Church February 25, with speaker Rev. A. Block.

She leaves to mourn her passing four sons: Jacob and wife Louise of Hepburn, Sask., John and wife Susie of Vineland, Ont., Abram and wife Bernice of Dalmeny, Sask., and Cornelius and wife Helen of Hepburn, Sask.; two daughters: Mrs. Elizabeth (Braun) Koop of Clearbrook, B.C. and Mrs. Peter (Agatha) Penner of St. Catharines, Ont.; one daughter-in-law, wife of the predeceased son Henry; 37 grandchildren and 64 great-grandchildren.
