— Funeral services were held at the Evangelical U. B. Church in Hesston last Sunday for Ira P. Hess, 71, member of a pioneer Hesston family and a lifetime resident there. A retired carpenter, he died at the home in Hesston on Oct. 25. Mr. Hess was the won of Abe Hess, who provided the land for Hesston College and also assisted in its founding.
