— A number of relatives and friends from Newton attended funeral services at the Eden Mennonite Church near Moundridge last Thursday afternoon for Mrs. Emil J. C. Gehring, who died at the Bethel Deaconess Hospital Sept. 30. Rev. Arnold Nickel, the pastor, and Rev. Walter Gering of Mountain Lake, Minn. officiated. Mrs. Gehring, who was born at Pretty Prairie Aug. 29, 1907, is survived by her husband, one daughter and five sons, her father, Ben A. Schwartz of Pretty Prairie, three sisters and one brother. A sister, Mrs. Mildor Frey, resides in Newton.
