— Word has been received here that Peter P. Penner, an old Harvey county pioneer who lived in the McClain community for many yeas, died on August 5 at his home in Reedley, Calif. He was well up in his 80's and had been in failing health for some time.

Great-Grandfather Dies at Reedley

Reedley, Calif. — Funeral services were held recently at the Mennonite Brethren church here for Peter Penner, 87-year-old retired farmer and a native of Russia. He died at the Reedley Hospital.

Mr. Penner came to the United States at the age of 21, and had lived in California the past 41 years.

He leaves two sons and five daughters, including Mrs. Ella Coen in Africa, 29 grandchildren and 123 great-grandchildren.
