text of obituary:

JACOB REMPEL

Jacob Rempel was born on February 20, 1903 in Osterwick, Russia, the son of Dietrich and Katharina Rempel. Having earlier accepted Christ as his Saviour, he was baptized and accepted into the Einlage Mennonite Brethren Church on August 20, 1925. On October 29, 1927 he was married to Lydia Lange. This union was blessed with five sons of which only one, Edwin, is alive today.

In October of 1949 the Rempels came to Canada where they settled in Leamington and joined the local Mennonite Brethren Church the same year. During the last few years Mr. Rempel's health began to fail. He passed away in the Leamington Hospital on Tuesday, January 22 at the age of 70.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Lydia, son Edwin with his wife Anne, 3 grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Thiessen of Winkler, Manitoba, and Mrs. Katharina Nikkel in Russia.
