JOHN G. REDEKOPP

Anna Redekopp, and beloved husband o Maria Redekopp, was born in Schoenberg Russia, on August 17, 1902. At the age of 11 he moved along with his family from Russi to Canada, settling on a farm in the Quee Centre district near Hodgeville, Sask. On November 13, 1924 he married Mari Sapinsky and they settled on a farm in th Kelstern district, where they farmed unti 1966 when they moved to Herbert fo retirement. Their marriage was blessed wit seven children. . At an early age he accepted Christ as hi Saviour and on July 13, 1919 he was baptize upon confession of his faith and accepte into the Elim Mennonite Brethren Church He loved to serve the Lord and was activ over the years as a music director, Sunda school teacher, and as a leader of th Kelstern Mennonite Brethren Church for 1 years. After retirement he still remaine active in the church at Herbert, as well a serving on several committees of our con ference. He passed away December 14 at his home and funeral services were held in the Men nonite Brethren Church, Herbert on Decem ber 17. Rev. Nick Janz and Rev. Jacob Paul officiated. He leaves to mourn his wife Maria; fou sons: Adolph and Hilda of Boissevain, Man. George of Herbert, Alvin and Irene o Yorkton, Sask., Clarence and Irene of Winni peg; three daughters: Caroline and Henry Klassen of Moose Jaw, Dorothy and John Wiens of Clearbrook, Evilene and Leonard Willems of Saskatoon; two brothers; and three sisters.
