PETER P. KLIEWER

Peter P. Kliewer was born May 6, 1890 in Schoensee, Russia and accepted the Lord Jesus as Saviour at the age of 23. In 1923 he was baptized and received as a member of the Mennonite Brethren Church.

On August 26, 1917 he married Maria Epp, Rosenort, Russia. They emigrated to Canada in 1924. The following year they moved to Culross , Man. where they farmed until 1962, when they retired to Winkler.

He passed away October 26 after a lengthy illness. The funeral, held in the Winkler MB Church, was conducted by Rev. John Stoesz and Rev. Martin Durksen.

He leaves to mourn his wife, Maria; daughters: Mrs. Frank (Kay) Lepp of Manitou, Man.; Mrs. J. (Elizabeth) Friesen of Winnipeg, Mrs. Ben (Marianne) Wiebe of Lowe Farm, Man.; sons: Victor and Walter of Winnipeg, Arthur of Beausejour, Man.; 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren
