PETER DAVID KOEHN

Peter Koehn was born October 10, 1917 in Alexanderfeld, Russia to David and Helen Koehn. He was converted at the age of 24 and was baptized and joined the church one year later. He married Margareta Enns but lost his wife and family in an earthquake in Russia. In 1948 he came to Canada. He was married to Anne Born in 1950 in Vancouver. They moved to Yarrow, B.C. in 1954. He enjoyed life, good health and provided for his family, commuting from Yarrow to Vancouver for 17 years. In December 1972 ill health struck him and though he spent his last two and a half months at home with his family, he passed away on November 3, 1973. The Lord was a source of comfort and strength to him. His cheerful disposition and great faith in God has been a blessing to the family and all who visited him.

He leaves to mourn his wife Anne; six daughters: Lora (Mrs. Ron) Krahn, Abbotsford , Marlene, Julia, Anne, Grace and Karen; one grandchild and one brother David. Predeceased are three brothers and three sisters.

The funeral was held November 6 in the Yarrow Church. Rev . John F. Klassen and Rev. P .D. Loewen officiated.
