Mennonite Weekly Review obituary: 1957 Mar 7 p. 6

Birth date: 1892

text of obituary:

. . .

— In Wichita last Monday, at the Episcopal church, funeral services were held for Harrison G. Overend, 65, one of the city's most prominent and widely known architects. Mr. Overend was also well acquainted in Mennonite circles, and buildings he designed for Mennonite institutions and churches would probably add up to several dozen. These buildings now stand as monuments to his achievement and skill. Among the institutions engaging his services were Bethel College, First Mennonite Church, Bethel Deaconess Hospital, Prairie View Hospital and Hesston college.
