HELEN TACHOLSKI

Mrs. Helen Tacholski of Herbert, Sask., passed away on September 25 in the Swift Current Hospital. She was born in Russia on December 18, 1897, to John and Caroline Sapinsky. The family came to Canada in 1908 and settled on a farm near Kelstern. In the spring of 1918 she accepted the Lord as her personal Saviour and later that year was baptized upon her confession of faith and received into the Elim MB Church. She had a gift for reciting poems which she exercised until her death.

On December l8, 1918 she was married to Bernard Tacholski. After two years on a farm in the Queen Centre District they moved to another farm six miles northeast of Kelstern where they farmed until their retirement in 1957. They moved to Herbert in 1964.

She is survived by her husband, Bernard; two sons, Rudolph and John of Swift Current; four daughters , Mrs. Dick (Bertha) Knelson of Kelstern, Mrs. John (Laura) Sabasch of Hodgeville, Sask., Mrs. Jake (Sophie) Voth of Herbert, and Mrs. Jake (Tilly) Klippenstein of LaFleche, Sask.; 17 grandchildren, five great grandchildren and three sisters and two brothers.
