— Funeral services were conducted at the Sister Frieda Memorial Chapel on Wednesday afternoon for Sister Margaret Friesen, 87, a member of the Deaconess sisterhood since 1921. Rev. Marvin Ewert, Rev. Arnold Epp and Rev. J. E. Entz officiated. Sister Margaret, who was born on May 10, 1869, in South Russia, died Jan. 26 at the Bethel Deaconess Hospital. She joined the sisterhood at Mountain Lake, Minn. and came to Newton in 1941. She was a member of the First Mennonite Church. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Jacob T. Toews of Wolf Point, Mont., and nieces and nephews.
