Virgil R. Wilson

HALSTEAD — Virgil R. Wilson, 79, died Friday at Halstead Nursing Center.

Services will be conducted at 10:30 a. m. Monday at Pleasant Valley Church near Bentley with the Rev. John Barron officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

He was born Dec. 2, 1901 in Sedgwick. He married Helen Trego on Nov. 4, 1923 in Sedgwick.

He was a retired farmer, lifelong resident of the Sedgwick-Bentley area and a member of the Pleasant Valley Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Arlene Smith of Sedgwick, Mrs. Marjorie Will and Miss Shirley Wilson, both of Halstead; one brother, Glen of Sarasota, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. Jaunita [sic] Schmidt of Halstead, Mrs. Pearl Baxter of Bentley and Mrs. Opal Atherton of Maize; three grandchildren.

Friends may call from 3:30 to 8 p. m. Sunday at Kaufman Funeral Home in Halstead.

Memorials may be sent to the church.
