MRS. J. P. REIMER

Mrs. J. P. Reimer was born near Inman, Kans., April 14, 1883, and died at the Villa Madonna hospital, Enid, Okla. Nov. 1, 1956.

She was one of 12 children of Kathrine and Heinrich Janzen, pioneer Kansas settlers. She spent her early childhood there and moved with her parents to Oklahoma in 1900 where she lived until 1907. In that year she and others of her family went to Hamilton county, Kans., where they homesteaded, later moving to Inola, Okla.

At the age of 18 she was baptized by Rev. Peter Balzer and was accepted as a member of the Medford Mennonite Church, at which she remained a faithful member until the end.

She was married to Jacob P. Reimer Feb. 11, 1915, and they established their home near Medford. They lived happily together with their eight children until Mr. Reimer's death in 1951.

Mrs. Reimer enjoyed relatively good health until 1954 when she suffered a paralytic stroke which left her an invalid. She spent the last year of her life in the Villa Madonna hospital. On Oct. 30 she suffered another stroke which left her in a coma until her death at the age of 73 years, six months and 18 days.

She leaves to mourn her loss eight children, Jake and Walter of Medford, Mrs. Margaret Ratzlaff of Wichita, Kans., Mrs. Lydia Becker of Medford, Bernard and Harry of Cornville, Ariz., Mrs. Rosella Outhier, Enid, and Mrs. Hulda Fields of Colorado Springs, Colo.; 23 grandchildren, three great grandchildren; four brothers, Cornelius Janzen and Jake Janzen, Medford, Henry Janzen, Buhler, Kans., and Abe Janzen, Enid; four sisters, Mrs. Katherina Klassen, Dinuba, Calif., Mrs. Maria Regier, Inola, Anna Janzen, Medford and Mrs. Eva Janzen, Newton, Kans., and a host of other relatives and friends.
