— Funeral services were held at the Herold Mennonite Church near Bessie, Okla. on Sept. 1 for Leander Janz, 88, early-day homesteader in the Shelly, Okla. community. Mr. Janz was born in Russia and came to Hillsboro, Kan. in 1890. His large family of descendants includes three sons and five daughters.
