LAWRENCE TOEWS

Lawrence Toews of Clearbrook, B.C., was born in 1935 in Manitoba. His fathe'r was an invalid ibut his Hfe was an inspiration to' Larry, as well as the courageous example D,f his mother. In 1953 Larry became a memiber Df the Rudnerweider Mennonite Church Df Altona after he accepted Christ as his Lord and SaviDur. He was married to' EleanDr Frers in 1958. Since the'n he followed h'is caHing as teacher, and was in his 17th year of teaching, 8 Df them ,in the AbbDtsfDrd district. He was active in the Christian Ser,vice IBrigade ,in the Central He:ights MB Church, where they are members, and also tDok a keen interest in the Abbotsford FIY'ing Club. He died +n an aeroplane accident on February 3 at the age o,f 37 ye'ars. He 'is ,lovingly remembered by ,his wife, two daughters, one son, his mother, thre'e brothers, and three s·ister-s, all of Manitoba
