PAUL G. LOEWEN

Paul G. Loewen, son of Isaac and Helena Loewen, was born on July 12, 1887, near Peabody, Kan. When he was 15 years old his parents moved to Fairview, Okla.

He was united in marriage with Elizabeth Ratzlaff on Nov. 15, 1911.

In 1915 they moved to the Iola community where they farmed for nine years, then moved to town where he did carpenter work.

He was baptized upon the confession of his faith, and transferred his membership to the Eden Mennonite church in 1916.

He entered the University hospital at Oklahoma City, Okla. on July 13, 1956, and was operated on for cancer on July 18. He lived three weeks after the operation, passing away at the age of 69 years and 28 days.

Two children, Edward Paul and Alma Helen, and one son-in-law, Bernhard F. Froese, preceded him in death.

He leaves to mourn his departure his wife; six children, Mrs. Alice Froese of Inola, Okla., Mrs. Pete Kroeker of Chouteau, Mrs. Enos Stutzman of Inola, Paul Loewen of Ault, Colo., Mrs. Waverly Cupp of Norman, Okla., Mrs. Jack Spurlock of Claremore, Okla.; 15 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Louise Hiebert of Liberal, Kan. and Mrs. Sara Voth of Fairview, Okla.; one brother, D. J. Loewen of Redwood, Calif., and many relatives and friends.

Burial was made at the Eden Mennonite Cemetery.
