HERTA SARA LOEWEN

Miss Herta Loewen (sister to Jakob Loewen, mentioned above) was born in 1912 in Chortiza, Russia. She went with her parents to Paraguay in 1930. In 1933 she accep,ted Christ at an eva ngelistic service in Fernheim and w as baptized the same year along with her brother.

She came to Canada in 1966 with her fath er, and worked hard to support herself and her aging parent. While crossing the street on her way to w ork she was struck by an aut omobile and died soo n after arriving at the hospital.

Funeral services were held in the Vancouver MB Church, at the sam e t ime as those for her brother Jakob. Her father is Rev. 'Peter Loewen, of Vancouver.
