AMELIA M. NIGHTENGALE

Amelia M. Nightengale, 92, died March 30, 2001, at Memorial Home in Moundridge, Kan. She was born July 16, 1908, in Burrton, to Benjamin C. and Eva Unruh. She married Mennon [sic] Penner on Oct. 14, 1926. He died March 14, 1956. She married Henry J. Nightengale on May 2, 1965. He died Feb. 12, 1984. She was a member of Grace Hill Mennonite Church of Whitewater.

Survivors include two sons, Virgil Penner of North Newton; and Don Penner of Hillsboro; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded ini death by 10 brothers, Tobias, John, Jacob, Henry, Adam, Andrew, David, Bernard, Fred and August; six sisters, Helena Koehn, Karoline Cole, Anna Unruh, Susanna Unruh, Elizabeth Unruh and Nettie Unruh; and a son, Irvin L. Penner.
