MRS. KATHARINE FROESE

Mrs. Katharine Froese, 70, a resident of the Medford, Okla. community for many years, died Friday afternoon, May 25, at an Enid hospital after an extended period of failing health. She had made her home at Enid since leaving Medford in 1949.

Funeral services were conducted Monday at 2 p. m. at Grace Mennonite church in Enid. Rev. Albert Unruh and Rev. William Unrau officiated. Burial was made in the Medford Mennonite cemetery.

Mrs. Froese was born in Russia and came to the United States when two years of age.

She resided at Newton, Kans., until moving with her parents to Hydro, Okla., in 1903. She was married to C. C. Froese in 1909.

The couple moved to a farm northeast of Medford where they resided for more than 30 years, later establishing a home in Medford.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Everett Lacy of Corbin, Kans., and Mrs. Ivan Haworth and Mrs. Clifford Watts, both of Enid; two sons, Pete Froese of Nardin and Harry Froese of Tulsa; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Wedel and Mrs. B. A. Hinz, both of Reedley, Calif., and Mrs. Pete Dalke of Manitoba, Canada; one brother, Jake Nachtigall [sic Nachitgal] of Newton, Kans., and 15 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
