— Relatives and friends from Newton attended funeral services at the First Mennonite Church in Hillsboro May 17 for Mrs. C. P. Goertz, 68. Rev. Elbert Koontz and Rev. H. T. Unruh officiated. Mrs. Goertz, the former Tiene Friesen, was found dead in her home by neighbors on Monday, May 14, having passed away during the night. She leaves her husband, a patient in the Mission Home at Hillsboro, and five children. A brother, Dick Friesen, lives in Newton.
