Services Held For Amish Youth

Yoder, Kan. — Funeral services were held at the William A. Miller home in the Amish community here April 5 for the Millers' son, Andy Miller, 19, who died the morning of April 3 at Grace hospital in Hutchinson of injuries received when struck by a car on Easter Sunday evening.

A large group of teen-agers were playing a friendly game of "Walk-a-Mile" on the blacktop road about three-fourths of a mile south of here around 10:00 p. m. when an approaching buggy attracted their attention. They failed to notice a car coming from the opposite direction, with lights dimmed because of the buggy. The car plowed into the group, injuring three and throwing a number of others into the ditch.

Also taken to Grace Hospital were Ora Miller, 16, son of Albert Millers, who had leg injuries; and Fred Bontrager, 19, son of Sam Bontragers, leg fracture.

The Miller youth is survived by his parents, eight brothers and five sisters.
