Three Hillsboro Residents Died

Hillsboro, Kans. — Three women of this community, all members of Mennonite Brethren churches here, passed away on April 21 and 22.

Mrs. John Goentzel, 73, died Monday, April 21, at the Salem home for aged where she had resided since last September. She formerly lived in the Ebenfeld community near here, and funeral services were held at the M. B. church on Wednesday. Burial was made in the Ebenfeld cemetery.

Mrs. Wm. F. Funk, 55, died Monday afternoon at the Salem hospital. Funeral services were held at the Ebenfeld M. B. church on Friday. Her husband and one son, Raymond, survive.

Miss Lena Loewen, 84, last member of the Dietrick Loewen family, died at Salem hospital on Tuesday. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the M. B. church. Although nearly blind, she had been living alone in her home here until a few days before her death.
