HENRY WILLIAM WEDEL

passed ·away on Marc'h 20 at the age of 76 years. He was born October 7, 1895 in Alexanderpol, 'in southern Russia, and as a child moved with his parents to Terek, ,in the Caucasus. He was married to Anna Pauls in 1923 and together they emigrated to Canada in 1925. They came first to Laird, Sask., and later they moved to Se·da'lia, Alta., where he took up farming for some years. From there the family moved to Vauxhal'l and finally, in 1961 , to retirement in Coaldale. He had accepted Christ as his Saviour in 1925 and was thereupon baptized and accepted into the Mennonite Church. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Anna ; three sons, Henry of Barnw ell, Alta., William of Coaldale and Walter of Calgary; three daughters, (Mrs.) Anna Unruh, Vauxhall, (Mrs.) Tina Taylor, Viking, and (Mrs .) Mar'tha Barg, Grassy Lake; and numerous friends and relatives. One infant daughter predeceased him. The funeral was conduC'ted from the Coaldale Mennoni·te Brethren Church o M arch 24 with Rev. D.J. Pankratz and Rev. Henry Unruh ministering.
