MRS. ANNA ANDRES
Andres of Saskatoon, went to be with the Lord on March 25. She suffered a stroke on March 10 and gradually became weaker until the time of her death. She was 68 years old. She was born in Saskatoon on September 20, 1903. She moved with her parents, Johann H. Peters, to homestead in the Langham area. Her father was the pastor of the Neuhoffnung Mennonite Brethren Church . She received Christ as her Saviour as a teenager, and was baptized at the age of 19 by the Rev. Jacob H. Lepp of Dalmeny, at which time she also joined the Mennonite Brethren Church.
In 1923 she married John Andres, also of Langham. They moved to the Hepburn area and farmed there until they retired to Saskatoon in 1955. She was predeceased by two sons, Edwin and Alvin, in 1929.
She leaves to mourn, her husband, John; four daughters, Mrs. John (Elsie) Nickel of Virgil Ont., Mrs. Allan (Alice) Baerg of Saskatoon, Mrs. George (Rubina) Fehr of Saskatoon, and Mrs. Isaac (Shirley) Bergen of Dartmouth, N.S.; four sons, John of Saskatoon, David of Agincourt, Ont., Reuben of Borden, Sask., and Walter of Regina; 27 grandchildren, one great grandchild, nine brothers and two sisters. The funeral was conducted from the Central Mennonite Brethren Church of Saskatoon on March 29 with Rev. Henry Harder in charge.
