— Funeral services for Chris William Zuercher, 55, an employee of the Santa Fe Railroad, were held at the Draper's Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon, with Rev. Ted Roth of Whitewater officiating. Burial was made in the Swiss Mennonite Church cemetery at Whitewater. Mr. Zuercher was born in Switzerland and came to the U.S. as a boy. He became seriously ill while en route to the Santa Fe hospital at Topeka on Saturday and died at an Emporia hospital. Surviving are his wife, a son William and daughter Lou Ann, two brothers and two sisters, all of Newton.
