ISAAC W. BAERG

Isaac W. Baerg was born on April 2, 1897, in Henderson, Nebraska. He emigrated to Canada with his family in 1901, and they began farming near Mennonite, Saskatchewan. On March 13, 1922 he accepted the Lord as his Saviour, and soon afterward was baptized into the Mennanite Brethren Church at Dalmeny. He was united in marriage to Susan Lepp on August 2, 1923, a union that was blessed with four children. After farming at various locations, they moved to Saskatoon in 1938, where he worked at the Bessborough Hotel for 15 years. His health began to fail, and he passed away on October 12 in the City Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Susan; three daughters: Mrs. Archie (Gwendolyn) Kruger, Aberdeen, Sask., Mrs. George (Viola) Schultz, Winnipeg, Man., Mrs. Alfred (Marianne) Luscombe, Melville, Sask.; three sisters: Mrs. Aron Thiessen, Abbotsford, B.C., Mrs. Jacob Thiessen, Yarrow, B.C., Mrs. Jacob Neufeld, Abbotsford, B.C.; two brothers: John W. Baerg, Saskatoon and David W. Baerg, Dalmeny, Sask.; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services were held in the Central Mennonite Brethren Church, Saskatoon, with Henry J. Harder officiating .
