text of obituary:

— Last week’s big snowstorm was the indirect cause of one death in the Newton community. William C. Umholtz, 66, retired farmer of North Main street, died suddenly of a heart attack shortly after shoveling snow at his home. He was a member of the Pennsylvania Mennonite church near Hesston, where funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, Rev. Earl Buckwalter officiating. Surviving are his wife, the former Anna Mary Schertz, six children, a brother and four sisters. Mrs. John Weaver of Newton is a sister.
