— Funeral services for Jacob Quiring, 73, were held last Sunday afternoon at the Alexanderwohl church. Mr. Quiring, who had lived at 217 Southeast 14th street, died Thursday morning at the Bethel Deaconess Hospital after having been ill for about one week. Mr. Quiring, a well-known farmer of the community for many years, has lately resided in Newton with his family. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Harvey of St. Louis, Mo., and Orville of the Home; and one daughter, Mrs. Charles Hunter, and several grandchildren.
