MARY HUEBERT

Miss Mary Huebert, 69, of Coaldale, Alta., passed away quite suddenly in the Lethbridge Hospital on April 2 as the result of complications which set in after surgery. She was born on May 5, 1901, the daughter of Frank and Helen (nee Wiebe) Huebert. She was a six-year-old when her parents moved from their home in the Ukraine to Siberia where she grew up and received her schooling. In her early twenties she received Christ as her Saviour, was baptized and joined the Mennonite Brethren church. In 1927 the family came to Canada, residing first in the Duchess (Alta.) area and then, after a year, moving to Coaldale, where she had resided since. She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers and three sisters (two of them in infancy) .

She is survived by three sisters, Elizabeth of Coaldale, Mrs. J. A. (Tina) Kroeker of Sardis, B.C., Mrs. J. E. (Susie) Martens of Dawson Creek, B.C.; and four brothers, Jacob, Henry, Peter and David, all of Coaldale. Rev. D.J . Pankratz, assisted by Rev. H.H. Kornelson, served at the funeral, conducted April 5 in the Coaldale MB Church.
