SARAH BALZER

Mrs. Sarah Balzer, lately of 'Clearbrook, B.C" passed away on March 3 at t he age of 74 years . Funeral services were conducted in the Clearbrook MB Church, Rev. Paul Wiebe officiating . She was born in Friedensruh, South Russia, in 1896, When she was 13 years her mother died, at which time she accepted the Lord as her Saviour. Three years later she was baptised and accepted into the fellowship of the Alexanderthal MB Church, Her marriage to a widower, Daniel Balzer, took place in 1925 and through the marriage she became the mother of the eight children from a previous union. The family emigrated to Canada, settling first in Saskatchewan and then in Vauxhall, Alta, in 1945. Due to the health of her husband, they moved to Vancouver in 1957, where he predeceased her in 1962, Her health also began t o fail, and she entered the Tabor Home in 1965, She participated actively in the duties and responsibilities there until her death. She leaves to mourn, her children: Walter and Marian, St. Catha rines, Ont.; John and Dora Friesen, Bow Island, Alta.; Jake and Esther, Kamloops , B.C.; Margaret, Vancouver; Mary, Prince George, B,C,; Daniel and Katie, Vancouver; John and Bertha, Terrace, B.C .; Peter and Verna Durksen, Alexander, Man.
