h3>JOHN JULIUS LOEWEN

John Loewen of Yarrow, B.C., passed away on June 4, 1970 in the Chilliwack General Hospital. He was born in Russia in 1890, and at the age of 21 was baptised and accepted into the MB Church. In 1911 he was united in marriage to Sara Schapansky, and their union was blessed with nine children, one of whom predeceased him. In 1927 the family immigrated to Steinbach, Manitoba, where they farmed until 1944. They moved to Yarrow, B.C., where they lived until he was called to be with the Lord. He is survived by his wife, Sara; five daughters: Mrs. Henry (Margaret) Bergen, Mrs. Frank (Sara) Isaak, Mrs. Fred (Betty) Jeavons, all of Ontario; Mrs. Ben (Helen) Loewen, Seattle, Mrs. Al (Annie) Carlson, Vancouver; three sons: Herman and Jake, Chilliwack and John, Ontario. (This obituary was misplaced by the Editor, hence its late appearance.)
