— Mrs. Barbara E. Brenneman, a resident of the Hesston community for the past 11 years, died at Bethel Deaconess hospital the evening of June 2 at the age of 74. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Hess Memorial Hall, and burial was made in the Pennsylvania Church cemetery. She was a member of the Hesston College Mennonite church. Mrs. Brenneman, who came here from the family home in Alberta, leaves two daughters and seven sons, three of whom are medical doctors. Mrs. Fred Brenneman, a daughter-in-law, and children arrived home recently from Samoa where Dr. Brenneman has been serving as director of public health. He will return later in the summer. Other children are Mrs. Clara Hershberger of Hesston and Mrs. Norma Boettger o Alberta, Harvey of Albany, Ore., Dan of Creston, Mont., Joe and Titus of Hesston, Dr. James J. of Belleville, Penn., and Dr. Paul of Doylestown, Penn. Also surviving are 42 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; a brother Ezra Stauffer, and two sisters, Mrs. Lucinda Yoder and Mrs. Lena Reil, all of Alberta.
