SARA MARTENS

(Mrs.) Sara Martens of 704 Arnold Rd., Abbotsford, B.C., passed away on January 7 foHowing a lengthy i·llness. She was born in 1916, in Herbert, Sask,atchewan. At the age of 12 she accepted the Lord as her Saviou.r, and was baptised into the local Mennonite Brethren church. In 1946 she was married to John P. Mar'tens. She worked much with the Sunday school and Ladies Aid group of her congregation. After suffe-ring much during the last eight years of her li·fe, she went to be with her Lord. She is surviv·ed by her loving husband John; three daughters: Mrs. Ken (Vio+a) Klassen, Dawson Creek; Mrs. Jake (Beverly) Schroeder, Olearibrook, B.C.; Mary Louise, Abbotsford; two sonsin-law; four brothers and two sisters.
