HENRY G. FRIESEN

Henry G. Friesen, resident at 813 Ave. 1 North, Saskatoon, went to be with the Lord on October 28. The death occurred at his home. He was born July 27, 1897 in Henderson. Nebraska. During his childhood he lived for a time in Colorado and then in Munich, North Dakota. He accepted Christ as Savior at an early age and on May 30. 1918 he was baptized upon his confession of faith. That same year he moved to Saskatchewan with his parents and on December 19, 1918 was married to Nettie Boese of Hepburn. For 19 years the Friesens served the Hepburn community as telephone operators and lineman. In 1943 they moved to Saskatoon where Mr. Friesen found employment with Westeel. His family remembers him for his quiet testimony and fervent prayers for each one of them. In recent years he took up stone polishing as a hobby. Christ, the master craftsman. chose and cut and polished this stone for 73 years until he called him home. He is survived by his wife. Nettie; and three daughters. Hazel (Mrs. Roycroft), Myrtle (Mrs. Wipf) and Ruby (Mrs. Niessen); six grandchildren, a brother and two sisters.
