PETER A. KROEKER

Peter A. Kroeker stepped pa'inless'ly from eart'My 10 heavenly life Septem1 ber 16, 1970. He Ilived at Donwood Manor, North Kild onan, with his wife Susan. -Burn at Winkl'er 'in 1897, he a'ccepted Ghrist at age 11 , and was baptized as a member O'f the Mennonite Brethren Church at 18. He and Sus'an (nee Hiebert) were married 'in 1919 art W inkller. He was 'One of three partners ,in the Kroeker Brot hers Store ,in W'ink,ler um,il 1928, when he began fa rming. Outst'anding in his I,ife were the years en ~he farm near Wink'ier when his home 'Was constantlly open to visitors. He was everybody's 'friend. He retired in the 50s and mo'Ve-d h'is fam1 iil,y te Winnlipeg. He o'ften expressed concern for the wel'fare of the church; his prayers were de'ar and his fa'irth was steadfast untiil his sudden heart attack and death. Survivors are his wife Susan e.f Donwood Manor, 171 Donwoed Drive, North Ki'ldonan; two daughters, Mrs. John Froese of San Jose, CaMernia, and Mrs. Herman W'ilms of Fort Garry; one sun, Irvin of Lincoln, Nebraska; one brother, Abram of East Ki'ldonan; and one slister, MisiiO Nettie Kroeker o:f North Ki:ldenan.
