DEATH OF PETER ENNS.

Succumbs ti Illness of Long Standing Due to a Cancer.

Peter Enns died at his home at 213 West Fifth street last evening at six thirty after a long illness caused by a cancer. The funeral will be held at the Mennonite church tomorrow morning at ten o'clock, Rev. J. R. Toevs conducting the service.

Mr. Enns was nearly seventy-three years of age at the time of his death and had been in this country nearly twenty years. He was a farmer the first years of his residence here, but has been a resident of Newton city for ten years and naturally retired on account of the disease which has had him under its power for so long. He is survived by his wife and twelve children, seven of whom were by a former marriage and five the children of the wife who is left to mourn his loss. All have the sympathy of a large number of friends in their sorrow.
