MRS. EMELIA LAUTERMILCH

On Monday, January 5, 1970,i,t pleased the Lo·rd to take unto himself the late Mrs. John Lautermikh . She w as born on May 14, 1883 to Mr. and Mrs. Karl BiHart of Odessa, Russia. In October 1899 she was united in marriage to the late Mr. John Lautermilch, a union that ·Ias·ted 66 years . In 1902 they immigrated to America, settling 'in North Dakota, at McClusky, where they farmed for e'ight years. It was here ·that they both found the Lord J esus as th eir Savior and were baptize·d and received into the Mennonite Brethren Church . In the spring o·f 1910 they came to Canada , tai<i·ng 'up a homestead on a farm in the community that is now cal'led Woodrow. In 1945 they retired to Medicine Hart wh ere they spent the rest of their lives. Mrs. Lautermikh was predeceased by her parents, husband, two brothers, ,three half-bro,thers , three haH-s'isters, and three children who died in infancy. She lea ves to mo'urn her parting, one half-sister in California, eight sons and their families: Ed of Swift Current, Albert and Andrew of Medicine Hat, Emil of Regina, Herbert of Forgan, and Mihon, John and Robert of Woodrow; four daughters and the'iT families: (Teana) Mrs. Ru eben Eng'le of Medic-ine HM, (Emma) Mrs. Ernest Wenzel of Morse, (Mabel) Mrs. Rudo'iph Bied and (Elslie ) Mrs. Ewalt Engel of W'oodrow, 28 grandchHdren and 28 great-grandchildren . The funeral took place on Janua,ry 7, in the Crestwood MBChurch of Medicine Hat , Rev. Art Martens offi·ciating.
