JACOB W. SCHULZ

Jacob W. Schulz, 78, of Herbert, Sask., went to be with the Lord on September 12. He was born in Russia on January 11, 1891, and came to Winkler, Man, to live in 1900. In 1909 he moved to the Herbert district where he homesteaded a farm. He was married to Agnes Andres in 1912. The couple farmed in the Herbert area unt'il their retirement to the town of Herbert in 1952. Mr. Schulz was predeceased by one daughter, Manda, in 1927 and a son, Jacob, in 1941.

He is survived by his wife, Agnes; three daughters, Mary, Mrs. E. Beridin of Kelowna, B.C., Helen, Mrs. W. Lyding of Salmon Arm, B.C., Ruth, Mrs. H. Ring of Moose Jaw; and three sons, Henry, Swift Current, William, Rush Lake, Sask. and Peter, Drinkwa'ter, Sask. The funeral was held in the Herbert Church with Rev. Herman Voth officiating.
