JACOB HENRY REMPEL

Henry J. Rempel of Morden, Man., passed away on April 3 at the age of 76. He was born August 9, 1892 in South Russia.

He came to Canada in his youth. Baptized in 1913 and received into the Winkler (Man.) Mennonite Brethren Church, he was married in 1918 to Maria Braun. For many years he farmed south of Morden and since 1957 on a farm just one mile east of Morden.

The funeral was held in the Winkler Church on April 7 with Rev. John M. Schmidt officiating. Surviving him are his wife, Maria; two sons, George of Morden and Jim at home; three daughters, Mrs. Albert (Alice) Broadbent, Thornhill, Ruth, Hudson Hope, B.C., and Mrs. Isaac (Mary) Knelson, Morden; nine grandchildren and one sister.
