MARIA GOERZEN

Gone to be with the Lord on March 22, 1969, is (Mrs.) Mar,i'a Goerzen (nee Reimer) of Coaldale, Alberta. Mrs. Goerzen was born in Fuerstenwerder, South Russia in 1884 and in 1904 married Henry Goerzen. They emigrated to Canada in 1926 and there took up residence in Co'aldale. The last 18 months Mrs. Goerzen enjoyed the comfort and fellowship of Christian friends in the Coaldale Home-for-the-Aged. She was predeceased by her husband in 1965 and prior to that by two sons and a daughter. It was during an ,jJJness in 1908, that Mrs. Goerzen realized her lost condition and accepted the Lord Jesus as her personal Savior. Upon her confession of faith she was baptized in 1928 and received into the Mennonite Brethren Church. Funeral services were conducted in the Coaldale Church on March 27. Rev. D. J. Pankratz and brother N. Re'imer ministered at the service. Left to mourn her passing are two sons, three daughters, two daughters-inlaw, two sons-in-faw, nineteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
