KATHARINA FRIESEN

(Mrs.) Katharina Friesen (nee Neumann). 64, wife of John Friesen of Port Rowan, Ont., passed away February 13. She was born in Russ·ia on September 12, 1904. She accepted Christ as her Saviour in her youth. In 1925 she moved to Canada with her parents and settled in New Hamburg. Onto The following year she was baptized upon her confession of faith and received into the fellowship of the' Allianz' Mennonite Church of Kitchener. She was united in marriage to John Friesen of Coaldale, Alta., on April 5, 1942. In 1946 they moved to Chilliwack, B.C., where they lived for ten years. After this, in 1956, they moved to Port Rowan where they lived up to the time of her passing. She leaves to mourn her husband; a son, Arthur; a daughter, Katharine; one daughter-in-law and one son-in-law; three grandchildren; two sisters and a brother -all of Port Rowan. After a lengthy illness, her last short prayer was expressed in the verse that follows: "Strong the hand of Christ, the Lord.! And his mighty love unending!! Died tor me-for me implored.,! To my wants is ever tending;/ My compassionate friend is he/ Christ, my hope, I trust in thee.
