ANNA GOOSEN

(Mrs.) Anna Goosen, 82, of Herbert Hospital. The funeral was September 18 in the Herbert Mennonite Brethren Church with Rev. Herman Voth in charge.

Mrs. Goosen was born January 6, 1886, in Freeman, South Dakota. In 1907 she married Aaron Goosen and moved with him onto a farm at Marion, S.D. In 1914 they moved to Herbert, farming 10 miles north of t.own. In 1934 they moved to Foam Lake where they farmed until 1951 when they retired to Foam Lake. They moved into the Herbert Invalid Home in 1966. Here they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 1967. That same year her husband passed away after which her health also began to fail rapidly. She loved her Bible and often read and studied the Word of God.

She is survived by three sons, Isaac and William at Foam Lake; Len at Alexander, Kansas; four daughters, Mrs. John (Tillie) Friesen, Foam Lake; Eva, Saskatoon; Emma, Waldheim, Sask.; and Mrs. Wm. (Martha) Goosen, Buhler, Kan., a stepdaughter.
