— Another of the early Mennonite pioneers was removed from the scene with the passing of Gerhard C. Kliewer, 81, who died at the Bethel Deaconess hospital Sept. 6. Funeral services were conducted at the Draper funeral chapel Saturday afternoon by Rev. Norvil Underwood, pastor of the Christian church. A brother, Jacob Kliewer of Burrton, and two nieces, Mrs. Helen Moss and Mrs. Edna Claassen of Newton, are among the survivors.
