Mennonite Weekly Review obituary: 1937 Aug 4 p. 5

Birth date: 1936 Dec 15

Betty Ann Jantz

Our darling, Betty Ann Jantz, was born December 15, 1936, and passed away at the Carnegie Hospital on Thursday, July 15, after an illness of a few days. All that loving hands could do to save her life was done, but in vain. God thought it best to call our child to her home in glory.

Our hearts are broken and bleeding, but we have the assurance that she now is safely resting in the Arms of Jesus.

She reached the age of seven months. She leaves to mourn her early departure her parents, six brothers and one sister. Funeral services were held Sunday morning, July 18, at the Greenfield Mennonite church, Rev. Froese and Rev. Harvey having charge of the services. She was laid to rest in the cemetery nearby.

Can it be that Betty left us?
She who always had a smile.
Yes, she's gone and soon we'll meet her.
'Twill only be a little while.

Our darling is not dead, but sleeping
Safely in our Savior's care.
Some sweet day again we'll meet her,
In that blessed land so fair.

All is over, hand are folded.
On a quiet and peaceful breast.
All is over, pains are ended.
Now dear Betty is at rest.

— The Parents.
