● Howard Dean Boese, 75, died Aug. 16 at Kidron Bethel Village in North Newton. He was a retired retail salesman for Graber’s Ace Hardware in Newton. Services will be held Aug. 20 at First Mennonite Church, Newton, with Verney Unruh officiating. Survivors include three brothers, Warren of Walton, Cecil of Kingman and Dale of Newton; and three sisters, Irene Kaiser of Wellington, Dora Boese Riley of Plano, Texas, and Jean Friesen of Boise, Idaho.
