Pioneer Teacher Called Away In Death

FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MAGDALENE STUCKEY, 86, HELD AT WAUSEON, OHIO

Wauseon, Ohio. — Funeral services for Magdalene Stuckey, 86, a pioneer teacher in rural schools and several colleges, were held Sunday, July 22, at the Central Mennonite church.

Rev. Walter Stuckey and Rev. Russel Dietch were in charge. Miss Stuckey died Thursday, July 19, in the Blosser Convalescent Home here.

The departed teacher had an eventful life. She traveled in Europe, studied in Paris, taught in rural schools and at Moorehead College, Ky., and Phillips Universtiy [sic], Enid, Okla. She taught a rural school even at the age of 75.
