PETER PHILIP KREHBIEL

Peter Philip Krehbiel, son of Jacob W. and Regina Schrag Krehbiel, was born August 19, 1898, in the home of his parents near Moundridge, Kans., and passed away on August 14, 1949, at the age of 50 years, 11 months and 26 days, a few days before his 51st birthday.

He received his elementary training in McPherson county, later graduating from Hoffnungsau preparatory school.

Upon confession of faith in Jesus Christ as his personal Savior, he was baptized in his youth, and became a member of the Eden Mennonite church of Moundridge, Kans., to which he remained faithful until his death.

On May 8, 1921, he was united in marriage with Ida Kuafman [sic Kaufman], with whom he was permitted to share joys and sorrows for over 28 years. This union was blessed with one son and two daughters, all of whom are living.

He was deeply interested in the welfare of the members of his family, his latest concern being to provide a more comfortable home for them. However, the Lord saw fit to call him to his eternal heavenly home, a place far more beautiful then [sic] all earthly treasures.
